Gala evening of dining, dancing and spirited auctioning. AMSA’s premier fundraiser, this highly anticipated annual event is one you won’t want to miss. Tickets are $50 person and include dinner, adult beverages, dancing to Rocky and the Bullwinkles, live and silent auctions. Saturday, March 31, 2012 – A Taste of Ardmore

Join in the downtown celebration as Ardmore’s restaurateurs tempt you with tasty goodies from buffalo wings to sushi, barbecue to empenadas. A street festival of food and drink celebrating Ardmore’s best restaurants that will delight your senses!! Free admission beginning at 5:00 pm. New this year – Country superstar Pat Green live in concert on Main Street. Event admission and concert are free. Food from vendors sold separately. Saturday, June 9, 2012 – Red River Roadkill Rally

Join us for the second annual “Fiesta Oklahoma”, a day-long celebration of cultural diversity featuring food, drink, entertainment, shopping, arts and crafts. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 – Trick or Treat on Main Street

Main Street merchants open their doors from 3:00-5:00 p.m. to friendly ghosts and goblins in this annual event for children of all ages. Free treats (no tricks!) in a safe environment to the delight of children, including a “best costume” award. No admission charge.

Tuesday, November 6, 2012 – “Get Souped!”

AMSA’s fall fundraiser featuring homemade soups, breads, and desserts courtesy of local chefs. Come early, stay late, and leave totally satisfied! $20 per person includes all-you-can-eat soup, drinks, and dessert. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 – Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights

Join the festivities for the 7th annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Central Park followed by the Downtown Parade of Lights. Floats, marching bands, lights galore, and a visit from Santa, of course, mark the beginning of the Christmas season. Next to Normal¸ a fundraiser to benefit Ardmore Main Street Authority, sponsored and produced by Carousel Productions.

Next to Normal is a powerful rock musical that grapples with mental illness in a suburban family. Nominated for 11 Tony Awards in 2009, it won three, including Best Musical, and also received the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Carousel cast of Vicki Gelona, Doug Pfau and Bryan Royse will be joined by NewYork performers Jason Grauerholz, Allyson Capetta, and Nick Gelona, who also directs. Next to Normal instrumentalists include Diane Boland, Chris O’Donnell, LeeAnn Harris, and Kelley Segler.
